The government has officially issued a confirmation 2024 KCSE National exams calendar that examinations shall be conducted as earlier planned.
This is after a good number of students now begin learning for the third term despite the initial interruption by the just concluded teachers strike that lasted for two weeks.
According to the Teachers Service Commission(TSC) in a directive released on to Directors of Education, issued a confirmation of new dates .
TSC also announced a set of stringent measures which will be followed during the examination process and more so in particular.
TSC has also directed on the people who will administer the tests.T
According to TSC Chief Executive Officer confirmed , this year’s national KCSE exams will begin from October 18, 2024 to November 22, 2024.
The above examinations will be conducted across all examination centers in the country.
This means that Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education(KCSE), is set to start from October 18, with the rehearsals.
Then all the students will formally begin writing their Examinations on October 22 , tests which are set to run for a month.
Kenya primary School Assessment KPSEA rearsals will start from October 25 as students are set to begin the examinations on October 28 to November, 2024.
It is important to note that KPSEA assessments will run alongside the Kenya Intermediate Level Education Assessment ( KILEA) .
These assessment will be conducted within the same time frame as stipulated in the TSC directive.
TSC has now issued a new directive saying that exams supervisors shall now be rotated after every two weeks .
This rotation is meant to enable the government clear out cheating instances even as candidates write their papers among other additional measures.
Macharia in her directive said that Centre managers will be required to verify supervisors and invigilators who are posted in their centers by confirming their details and workstation.
The above officers will be required to take attendance on a daily basis
TSC also directed all the Sub County Directors to start the selection alongside the vetting for the supervisors administrators, list of invigilators and center managers of high integrity to oversee the process.
TSC directed for vetting and nomination of the center managers, supervisors, and invigilators to be engaged in the administration of these examinations and assessments.
Then these officers will be deployed into the CP2 system by 11th October 2024.
All the invigilators and supervisors will not be assigned in the same centers that they served in within the last two years a means for curbing cheating
